The legend of the Christmas tree is based upon a folk legend as magical as a tale and its origins lie in the Celtic tradition.
The oak tree had a “divine nature”: every year, as a ritual, an oak log was burnt from December 21st until January, 6th as a wish for favorable and bright days of the new year.
Along this legend, the oak tree is transformed into a fir tree: an evergreen tree, symbol of life, strength, protection, care and hope.
